What we do
The British Columbia Association of Insolvency Restructuring Professionals (“BCAIRP”) is the organization representing over 100 insolvency professionals in British Columbia. BCAIRP works closely with its members and the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals (“CAIRP”) to fulfill its mission of advocating for a fair, transparent, and effective insolvency system throughout the province. BCAIRP accomplishes this through:
- Participating on joint committees with various key bodies within the province including the Office of Superintendent of Bankruptcy, CAIRP, the British Columbia Supreme Court system and Canada Revenue Agency where the interests of its members are represented;
- Keeping members up to date on key changes in the industry;
- Acting as an intervenor in legal cases where there is significant impact on precedent in the insolvency and restructuring industry; and
- Participating in an advocacy capacity in legislation setting consultation processes.
BCAIRP Members are recognized leaders in providing solutions to financially challenged individuals and businesses.
